Palmer Court Residents Celebrate with a Caribbean Garden Party

Written by Stuart Carlaw, Chairman, Palmer Court.

On Wednesday 22nd July, the residents of Palmer Court were joined by visitors and VIP’s to enjoy an afternoon of Caribbean music, food and laughter.

The residents were very happy to welcome the Mayor of Wellingborough, Councillor Sylvia Erskine; Mabs Attwood, the Deputy Grand Master of The Order of Women Freemasons as well as Dale Gilbert, The Provincial Assistant Grand Master for the Province of Northamptonshire and Huntingdonshire.

One of the major focus areas for Palmer Court in 2026 is to attract as many visitors as possible to raise awareness of the Scheme as a worthy destination for charitable donations but also as a viable possible future home.

Scheme Manager, Chris Rayatt, stated:
“Delivering a hectic social calendar for residents is of paramount importance to combat social isolation. Visitors are always welcome as they continue to tie our scheme to the wider community. We are always looking to attract volunteers that can support and participate in activities that improve the wellbeing of our residents.”
Palmer Court Chairman, Stuart Carlaw, outlined:
“Our social calendar at Palmer Court is incredibly vibrant and busy.  Not only does it reinforce a sense of community and togetherness for residents, but it also showcases the scheme for visitors that can help support our activities in the future”.
