At the Fayre there was an attractive range of gifts available including Christmas cards, bags and calendars which were sold by the social committee, table decorations, a Bag a Bottle stall and even a Name the Bear competition. Something for everyone.
For the first time the Fayre enjoyed the help of Mabs Attwood, a senior member of the Order of Women Freemasons (OWF). Mags is a new member of the Board of the Masonic Housing Association which has 4 other sheltered housing homes in addition to Wilson Keys Court.
Alongside Mabs was Pam Hedley, also a member of the OWF. Pam joined the Wilson Keys Court Housing Committee a few months ago. Mabs, her daughter Adrienne, and Pam provided prizes and ran a stall which raised £100. Stall holders also gave a donation from their stall’s profits.
Overall the Fayre raised £417. This will go into the resident’s social fund to enable them to pay for entertainers, transport, or days out– activities which help make Wilson Keys Court a thriving and enjoyable home for its residents who come from Masonic and non-Masonic families. It was a day enjoyed by all.
