Hamilton Court is a Sheltered Housing scheme for people who are able to care for themselves. We accept applicants who are aged 55 years and over with no upper age limit.

All of our flats have alarm pull cords which are linked to the Scheme Manager Monday – Friday 9.00am-5.00pm and out of hours to a Central Control who will provide assistance in an emergency giving peace of mind to our tenants and their families.

Located across the road from Hamilton Court are shops, including a large supermarket, Doctors and Dental Surgeries, Chemists, Hairdressers plus Swimming Pool and Fitness Centre.

There is a bus stop nearby with direct links to Chelmsford and Basildon and the nearest train station (South Woodham Ferrers) is a short bus ride away.

The tenants are offered a variety of coach outings and entertainment that is funded by Hamilton Court Charitable Association, which relies upon the generosity of Masons within the Province of Essex. These funds are raised either by a Lodge or donations from individuals.
The tenants have their own Social Club with bingo, suppers, coffee mornings, card evenings, film nights, BBQ’s, and tenpin bowling on theWii for which they challenge the House Committee members twice a year.

Our House Committee supports the Scheme Manager and meets 5 times each year and comprises 11 volunteer Essex Masons plus two lady members. They bring a wide range of skills and professions to the administration of Hamilton Court, these included such skills as Health & Safety, Accountancy, IT, Building and Surveying and Secretarial.
